Denouement Diaries - Week 50

Essentially the ramblings of two adults that probably require adult supervision.

As usual, follow along at:

Anyway, let's get into it:

18/1/23 - Day 344: Sunshine Coast

  • Hot day.
  • Took Mikayla out for coffee during her work break from her imaginary job.
  • I am still in the midst of organising myself a car. Speaking to car salesman-types is excruciating.

19/1/23 - Day 345: Sunshine Coast

  • Went and spotted Casey with some pole.
  • Sun. Hot.
  • Pool.
  • Casey did some dancing in the evening and then we went and grabbed some burgers.
  • Sausage dogs being sausage dogs.

20/1/23 - Day 346: Sunshine Coast

  • Casey had a girls breakfast so I went for a walk along Mooloolaba out to the spit.
  • Bit overcast.
  • Didge came and stayed for the night.
  • So we all went to family Dinner at Kings Beach then went up to Maroochydore for an escape room.
  • We stabbed Dracula.
  • Team ‘Butt Butts’ escaped with 20 minutes remaining.

21/1/23 - Day 347: Sunshine Coast

  • Went and had ice cream with the little ones.
  • Tackled them. I won.
  • Super hot weather up on the coast at the moment.
  • Walked the sausages along the canals.

22/1/23 - Day 348: Sunshine Coast

  • Iced coffees. Cold smoothies. Hot day.
  • Casey did some training.
  • I….mostly watched movies.

23/1/23 - Day 349: Sunshine Coast

  • Grabbed some coffees and took Casey up to Palmwoods for her Lyra training.
  • Then rolled back to Caloundra and went to the ‘Pastry Lab’ for some croissants and pastries.
  • Wandered along Golden Beach/Bulcock Beach/a big sand paddock.
  • Pretty cool how everything changed when the surf broke through Bribie.
  • I’m hoping some kangaroos were trapped on the northern tip so they can now cross into Caloundra across dry sand. Just for the chaos of it.
  • Cooked up some good steaks.

24/1/23 - Day 350: Finally a New Car…

  • A bit of annoying big day.
  • Drove down to Acacia Ridge in Casey’s air conditioner-less car.
  • To finally, finally pick up my new car.
  • They still had me signing repeats and copies of stuff I had already signed.
  • Poor Casey had to drive back in the heat alone.
  • While I had new air conditioning.
  • She was able to opportunistically stop by Emily’s place and see the new bubba.
  • But just an annoying hot day of driving.

Stay tuned...
