Denouement Dashboard - Andorra

This is the place I will cover the stats of each country as we go.

As usual, follow along at:

Anyway, let's get into it:

Andorra: 30-31/10/23

Tracks:

Rough rules: I will count the flight (or bus) TO that country as tracks IN that country.

Andorra is a little different as we literally drove in in the evening, then out in the morning, so did essentially zero walking.

Any walking on the 30th was attributed to Spain, not Andorra, for example.

Automobiles:

  • 39 km across Andorra

Walking:

  • I dunno, maybe 2 km. The place is really that small…

Total = 41 km

Expenses:

Rough rules: I will count the flight (or bus) TO that country as an expense IN that country.

Total expense: $437.1 AUD

Total Days: 2 Days inclusive

Expense per day = $218.55 AUD/Day

Expenses Breakdown (mathematical, not emotional):

Relevant Media:

  • Realistically, most people have never even heard of Andorra…

Tips and Tricks:

  • Swing by if you are doing some driving. The place is lovely, basically just a couple of valleys in the Pyrenees Mountains.

Recommendations:

  • Just pick a hotel. They basically all look like ski lodges, variously closing down or opening up depending on the season. The place has about 80,000 population but gets 10 million tourists a year. So you’ll have no trouble finding somewhere to stay.

Summary:

  • Just a lovely little mountain principality with favourable tax laws that keeps to itself and is not a member of the EU so remains quite independent - ie Switzerland, Lichtenstein….
  • Worth a visit.

Thanks for reading along.

The next country update will come... after the next country.

Weekly updates will come...weekly.
